The Legends of the Rocking Dutchman

Welcome to the Legends of the Rocking Dutchman, the program that brings you the Rhythm & Blues of the twenties, thrirties, forties and fifties. In their own juke joints and dance places, African Americans played their music that was banned from radio stations and that only sold in record stores in black neighborhoods.

The music provided the DNA for Rock 'n Roll and all later kinds of popular music, and then it was to be forgotten. But not on this program, where I showcase that influential and important music, the pre-Rock 'n Roll Rhythm & Blues.
