The Legends of the Rocking Dutchman - episode 96
Legends Mix
And another mix of great Rhythm & Blues that I hope will lift your mood as it does mine, when I play it im my car on my way to work or wherever else. Music that is guaranteed to urge you to move, drum the steering wheel or hop your feet in rhythm.
Among today's legends, two songs that at the time they were released sounded a decade or two old. In a time where you couldn't tuck a musical experiment like that away as track 22 of a CD, that was sort of a gamble - your 78 had to sell and to be selected in the juke box. One made it to number 7 on Billboard's hit list, so it was a lucky shot.
