The Legends of the Rocking Dutchman - episode 73
Legends Mix
Today's mixed bag of goodies was the result of a somewhat random selection from the mp3 player that spiced up my flight from Florida and that I continued to use on the bus rides to and from my work. Well, just look at the play list and you'll see that maybe I saved on the effort of selecting the music for you, but it's as good a set of stomping Rhythm & Blues as always. Today I'll tell you how come that so many of the songs I select, happen to be recorded in December of 1947, why I envision a character from a Flemish comic book series when I hear Louis Jordan's Caldonia and you'll get a less recognized key figure in the transition of Rhythm & Blues to Rock 'n Roll.
