The Legends of the Rocking Dutchman - episode 47
Legends Mix #12
A mixed bag of goodies today, that I took random from some recently digitalized CDs and the strange thing with taking random stuff is that the result never looks random. So for the most part, today's playlist consist of music from the year 1947 - a great year for the Rhythm & Blues. And randomization always leaves for some real extraordinary tracks.
And so today we find a classic Rock 'n Roll precursor, a wise lesson telling men that they should not marry more than twice, and a cynical lament on the death of an outright racist Missisippi Democrat senator - a protest against discrimination and segregation that was pretty rare in the forties and did make some noise back then.
