The Legends of the Rocking Dutchman - episode 262

Decca 7000 series

It's already nearly three months ago that I started a new series of shows on Decca's 7000 Race series, to spell out the catalog number-by-number, and today is the sequel of that show, starting where I left you last time. It features mostly blues from 1934, still the first year of operation of the American branch of Decca. Among them, the last session Memphis Minnie did with her then-husband Joe McCoy. But also, some of the obscurest names go by.
