The Legends of the Rocking Dutchman - episode 177

The Red Saunders Research Foundation

Today's spotlight is not on a band, a record label, a producer or someone else important in the era of Rhythm & Blues - this is a special about the Red Saunders Research Foundation - a group of people that have done groundbreaking research and documentation on the postwar Chicago Rhythm & Blues and Jazz scene. Though their site may look a bit old-fashioned, if you're interested in anything on this subject, this is your one-stop place to go. Nowhere on-line will you find such a wealth of knowledge on the Windy City's postwar music.

Of course some of the highlights of their website and all the music today comes from Chicago - all but one.
