The Legends of the Rocking Dutchman - episode 170
Legends Mix
Today I end with what I began my show of two weeks ago with - a duet of Victoria Spivey with Lonnie Johnson. Blues duets are pretty rare but these two did a few excellent ones for the Vocalion label in the late twenties.
Of course, as in all Legends Mix shows, there's more to enjoy, and this show makes no difference - Rhythm & Blues from the twenties to the fifties, from early recorded blues to the dawn of Rock 'n Roll.
