The Legends of the Rocking Dutchman - episode 136
Soundies and movies
Soudies were short music clips on 16mm film for view in the Panoram juxe box. Today I play the music from these soundies and soundtracks from a few longer movies. They brought us music never released on record, and also some of the artists never got on record - sometimes because they rather aspired a movie career, sometimes they just never got a recording contract.
Unfortunately your radio station doesn't support TV - but a lot of these soundies are easy to find on YouTube.
