The Legends of the Rocking Dutchman - episode 130
Legends Mix
In today's mixed bag of tunes I have several blues that were released decades later than they were recorded. That's not so exceptional, but one of them comes from two sessions done in a record store in a town in North Carolina and the whole set didn't make it to record until 1988 when it filled a whole album.
Another highlight for today is a 1927 blues of Blind Richard Yates - one that stole my heart immediately for its intensity and the unusual melodious way of singing.
