The Legends of the Rocking Dutchman - episode 112
Vocal Group Delight
I must say I don't play vocal groups too often, so here's an effort to make up for that and please the doowop affectionados on here. Today some of the best, as always from the thirties to the early fifties - so before the boom of streetcorner groups of the late fifties and early sixties.
There's a few real outstanding songs among them, including one that sounds like being accompanied by a bunch of muted trumpets, but it's the vocal group itself mimicking that sound. And I saved one of the best for last, the original version of a long-time favourite of mine that I know for many, many years.
