Merely as a result of our 2006 holiday in Florida, we bought a nice lot of 1/2 acre (about 2000 m2) in a village / residential area called Spring Lake near Sebring (pop. about 10,000) in central Florida. A quiet place and not an area frequented by tourists. With the idea to build a house in time, but that 'in time' turned out to be very short: within a year it was finished.
In the same village, actually in the same street, a sister of Gusta and her husband have a retirement home, complete with a beautiful pool, and another brother with his wife have a home there as well.
We don't know yet what the role of our own place in the Sunshine State will be in our lives. Our world has been turned upside down and we don't have clear future plans yet.
